very carefully). you need a desktop PC running windows 7 32 bit with a
parallel port (old style printer port) and a non-integrated graphics
card (not built into the motherboard)
Option B: Any newer version of windows (including 64
bit, windows 10, etc.) or even a laptop, if you use a UC100 motion
controller. you can get them on amazon or other online retailers for
- A router head (spindle) the router mounting bracket of your choice is included with the machine
(computer aided design/computer aided machining) software to create
your designs and tool paths. We recommend www.vectric.com
- cutting bits
the machine will come with the plain wood tops with no inserts. just attach a sacrificial spoil board and surface it flat. You can either screw directly into the wood, or add your own t slots, threaded inserts, etc.
Threaded inserts: The table will come with a grid of 1/4-20 threaded inserts. you will need to add a sacrificial spoil board and cut holes through to access the threaded inserts. you can also attach the spoil board in strips between the inserts. You will machine the sacrificial spoil board flat after mounting.
Vacuum table: Comes with the valves, plumbing, and vacuum pump. You will need to add a sacrificial spoil board and cut the holes for the vacuum fittings, then machine it flat and machine grooves into the table for foam gasketing. We will provide you with the files for the mounting holes and grid.
Power requirements: 110v 2 Amps for the machine, then whatever power requirements the spindle/router needs.
