This rugged machine is made from HDPE with a proprietary linear motion system developed by Zenbot. The system features ball bearings preloaded on eloctroplated-zinc thick-walled steel rails. The result is a very stiff system with ultra smooth motion and zero slop. The Z-axis features 5/8 inch Thomson brand hardened polished steel rails with super oilite self-lubricating bronze linear bushings. The drive system features 3/8 inch wide kevlar-reinforced urethane timing belts on all 3 axes, resulting in ultra precise motion and blazing fast rapids (1000 inches per minute). The entire machine is bolted together with allen-head machine bolts so every part is replaceable. The grid on the large stationary table makes workpiece alignment a breeze, and the matrix of steel 1/4-20 threaded inserts make it simple to fasten the workpiece to the table. This machine is ideal for making Pcb's (printed circuit boards), plaques, trophies, model airplanes, 3-d puzzles, picture frames, vacuum molding plugs, lighted lexan signs, business card holders as well as larger woodworking projects. Three-axis simultaneous smooth contouring enables the machine to be used as a subtractive rapid prototyping machine.

Options

Rotary Tool Mounts

There are several spindle mount options for the Zenbot 2424. We have mounts for the Rotozip RZ10/RZ20/RZ5, the Bosch Colt, the Hitachi M12vc, the Dremel 300, the Proxxon IB/E, and the Wolfgang Engineering spindle. Or if you already have a spindle and can provide dimensions, we can custom make a mount for you. Just specify which you would like when ordering.

Zenbot Control Box

To control the Zenbot 1216 Router, you will need several electronic components, including stepper motor drivers for each axis and a DC power supply. The Zenbot Control Box combines each of these components into a single, pre-configured box. Just plug it in, and you're ready to run!

Mach 3 Control Software

This software is easy to use, and there are many video tutorials at www.machsupport.com which guide you through installation, setup, and use. If you are new to CAD/CAM you will enjoy Mach-3's wizards, which guide you step-by-step through numerous operations such as text engraving, cutting a rectangular or circular pocket, or drilling a bolt pattern.
